Hope everyone had a great Holiday and Happy New Year!   I definitely did.  We had company from California and lots of family locally.

My Dad was here visiting and he happens to love Jazz and Dixieland Bands.  I did some calling around and found out that "The Chefs of Dixieland"  play Thursday nights at Sodbusters Saloon in Sylvania,OH, Ohio.  Not far from Toledo, Ohio.

This is a restaurant (club)  that is located right in downtown Sylvania !   I have lived here a long time and  I must say this is the first time I have been to this club!  WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!

The chili is very good, and during happy hour the beer is cheap.  All the best beers just not as expensive.   They also have a variety of food to order.

This is a family run saloon with lots of laughs, fun, and good entertainment.  Dress is casual.  I recommend visitng on Thursday nights, come early 7 - 7:30 to get a seat,  the band starts at 8 pm and then it is standing room only. They are usually pretty old guys up there playing, however, the fun thing is that Ragtime Rick invites the young musicians up out of the audience to jam with them.  Very cool.
