Being Patient with Short Sales, Nancy Lohman
This blog will be 'SHORT' and sweet. I am now involved with another real estate "short sale". Which to explain it to you in the 'shortest" fashion means the sellers are selling the property for less than they owe their lender. We write up the contract and buyer and seller agree, but then the lender has to make the final decision as to whether they will accept the lower price and ultimately take a hit on this loan. (there is obviously a lot more to it than this)
Well, we wrote the offer, buyer and seller agreed, paperwork all signed, then we waited, and waited, and waited. After six weeks, buyer was ready to give up. Then out of the blue the lender agreed. YEAH.... now we try to quickly rush off to closing, hopefully with out any snags. I am sure these are the days we will be talking about for a long time.
"BUY" the way, the buyer is getting a terrific deal on this property. I sure he will also be talking about this for a long time.
